Huawei Nova 11 is priced at SAR 1049 for an 8GB+128GB version. The Nova 11 is priced at SAR 1999 for the 8GB+256GB version. The Nova 11 Pro comes at 2599 for an 8GB+256GB version.

The pre-order deposit for these phones is SAR 30, SAR 50, and SAR 100 respectively. Interestingly, these pre-order amounts will be returned as a coupon/off on the final price, which is an amazing deal. Furthermore, there’s a discount of SAR 50 on Nova 11i and SAR 100 on standard Nova 11 and 11 Pro.

That’s not it, customers who’ll pre-order these phones will get free gifts.

Currently, Huawei serves a lot of widgets in the EMUI 13 but the company has not introduced the battery widget. This is quite unique capability that we’re still missing in the EMUI universe. Before we dive deep into this new desirable feature, let’s take a look at the service widgets.

Huawei first introduced service widgets in HarmonyOS 2.0. It allows users to access a desired app service instantly, without the need to open an app first. Yes, the action is similar to the traditional Android widgets but the implementation and the UI are far more better.

For example, you can add a Huawei Health app service widget on the home screen. Once added, the widget will show key details including the steps count and exercise button. That’s not it, you can select different sizes of widgets. The company has improved its fluency and capabilities with HarmonyOS 3.0.

However, we’re only talking about the regular software upgrade here.

There are two reasons of your phone receives a massive software:

1. Big features or optimizations
2. Combined delayed rollout.

Big features:

These updates come occasionally when the company releases new features and optimizations. New additions and enhancements may carry heavy weight up to 1 or 2 GB. However, these are also part of the regular upgrade procedure and improve the phone.

Delayed:

This part is a bit advanced and simple to understand. The screenshot below is the perfect example of this scenario. The user was shocked to see 5.6GB of the package for just a security patch, which is quite common to us.

But there’s an ultimate reason, which we confirmed with the user, as he had not received or checked for update for months. There’s no exact time confirmed at the moment but the package size is a combination of the firmware that the phone missed.

In simple words, it contains all of the security patches from the past months (not installed) and come in a single large package size. This often happens to Huawei smartphones and we’ve already reported this quite a few times.

Due to the important security patches, Huawei doesn’t want the phone to lack any security improvements. Therefore, it releases all of the packages for the smartphone at once. However, it only happens to people, who don’t update their device for a prolonged time.
